Cannabis Infused Cider Donut Ingredients

Here is everything you need :

For the donut:

  • 1/3 Cup of RSO Infused Vegetable Oil  (see instructions for this directly below the full ingredient list)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 ¼ Cup of White Sugar
  • 1 Cup of Applesauce  
  • ¼ Cup of Apple Cider Reduction
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon  
  • ½ tsp of Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 1 ½ tsp of Baking Powder  
  • 2 Cups of Flour  

For the cider reduction:

  • 1 ½ Cups of Apple Cider
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick  

For the sugar coating:

  • ¼ cup of White Sugar
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon

Cannabis Infused Cider Donuts Steps

For the RSO Infused Vegetable Oil:

  1. Pour 1/3 a cup of Vegetable Oil into a pot and turn the heat on to low.  
  2. Add in .15mL to .2mL of RSO in small amounts at a time, continuously stirring until well incorporated. Once all RSO has dissolved and been mixed well with the oil, turn off the heat and transfer to a glass measuring cup to cool.  
  3. Once the oil has cooled, follow the instructions below for the cider donuts.

For the Donuts:

  1. In a small saucepan, pour in 1 ½ cups of Apple Cider and plop in 1 cinnamon stick. Turn heat to medium until bubbling. Once bubbling, turn heat down to a medium-low. Allow liquid to reduce to ¼ cup. Set aside to cool.  
  2. Once liquid is cooled, preheat your oven to 350° F and spray the donut pan with baking spray.  
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together your oil, egg, sugar, and apple sauce until combined. Add in Apple Cider, spices, and baking powder.  
  4. Slowly start to mix in your flour until well mixed. The batter should be on the thinner/liquid side.
  5. Fill a large size Ziplock bag with batter and cut one of the corners off.  
  6. Pipe batter into each donut mold. Fill ¾ of the way full as these will rise while baking.  
  7. Bake at 350° F for 18-20 minutes. Allow them to cool until warm.  
  8. Using a paper plate, mix together your white sugar and cinnamon with a fork. Coat each donut in cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve and enjoy  

Feel free to adjust the simple syrup to your preferred level of sweetness. This cocktail strikes a nice balance between the warm cinnamon flavors and the crisp apple notes from the cider, making it perfect for autumn or any time you're in the mood for a festive drink.

Summary:

One of the many things I think we all look forward to in the Fall is cider donuts. The smell, the sugar coating, it’s what makes the Falls in New England that much better. So, of course I had to find a way to put weed in them! While these aren’t as good as Cider Hill Farm or Applecrest Farm, they will definitely get you in the mood to hit the Pumpkin Patch or take a stroll through Downtown Salem!
