Terpenes and cannabinoids age at different rates, shaping aroma, flavor, and overall character, not just potency.
Fresh
End of Cycle

Fresh

0–3 months since test date
Maximum aroma, terpene, and cannabinoid expression

Stable

3–6 months since test date
Cannabinoids remain stable. Some terpene loss may occur.

Aged

6–9 months since test date
Reduced Terpenes. Cannabinoids remain largely preserved.

Degraded

9–12 months since test date
Limited terpenes. Some THC may have converted to CBN.

Freshness reflects natural chemical changes over time. Storage conditions may affect results.

The test date reflects when a flower has completed curing, been lab tested, and is ready for your enjoyment.
The expiration date is one year from the test date, per state guidelines.
The harvest date is when the flower is cut from the plant, an early part of its journey, before drying, curing, and becoming ready to enjoy.
