Root & Bloom is an independent, locally owned cannabis cultivator in Salisbury, Massachusetts, up the coast from Swampscott on the North Shore. Its indoor grow spans two floors, and every harvest is hand-trimmed and cold-cured to protect the terpenes that drive aroma and flavor. Root & Bloom was named Best New England Cannabis Company at NECANN in 2023. At Terpene Journey, we carry Root & Bloom flower, pre-rolls and pre-ground for adults 21+ who want local, hand-finished cannabis.
Founded by George Haseltine and Brad Kutcher, Root & Bloom received its final Massachusetts license in 2022 and began selling flower that October from its facility on Lafayette Road in Salisbury. Inside, about 20,000 square feet of indoor canopy across two floors is split into eight flower rooms under LED lighting. The team describes its flower as hand-trimmed and terpene-rich, and every harvest is cold-cured. On our shelves that means classics like Wedding Cake (Triangle Kush x Animal Mints), known for its pastry-like aroma, and newer favorites like Tricheratrops (Tropicana Cherries x Iron Triangle), a pinene-forward hybrid with citrus, earth, cherry and spice. Shop Root & Bloom flower, pre-rolls and pre-ground Wedding Cake, and look out for joy•bombs chews by Joyibles, part of Root & Bloom's family of brands.

Root & Bloom grows in Salisbury, at the northern tip of the Massachusetts coast, and describes itself as independent and locally owned. Buying Root & Bloom keeps your cannabis close to home.
Every Root & Bloom harvest is hand-trimmed and cold-cured. Curing slowly at cooler temperatures is a common way growers protect delicate terpenes, and the brand describes its flower as terpene-rich.
The Salisbury facility runs about 20,000 square feet of indoor canopy across eight flower rooms under LED lighting, giving the team close control over the growing environment from harvest to harvest.
Root & Bloom was named Best New England Cannabis Company at the 2023 New England Cannabis Convention, and Cannabis Business Times ranked it No. 1 in the cultivation category of its 2024 Best Cannabis Companies to Work For.

Curing is the slow drying period after harvest that lets moisture leave the bud evenly. Cold curing keeps temperatures low during that time, which many growers use to help preserve terpenes and keep the smoke smooth. Root & Bloom cold-cures all of its flower after hand-trimming.
