The "BX" in "Grape Pie BX1" stands for "back cross", which is a form of targeted breeding that allows a desired characteristic to pass from parent to offspring. Once a breeder has determined the most desired phenotype of a given strain, they can then back cross that strain with itself to strengthen the genetics and reinforce the positive attributes of the strain.
