Hemp, Not Marijuana!
In 2024 we were blessed by John of Big Dog Genetics with the Godfather OG seeds. These seeds came from the same batch that won the Cannabis Cup and the Emerald Cup in 2023. Upon flowering two evident phenotypes were displayed, and we immediately fell in love with them both. The first phenotype has a funky fermented fruit terp, and the second smells like a fresh blueberry muffin. This Indica dominant strain boasts full mind/body relaxation, and may be the holy grail of CBD genetics.
Hemp-derived products contain less than 0.3% THC by weight and are created from compliant hemp certified by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. Though hemp and cannabis are the same species of plant, the difference lies in the low THC content of hemp. As a result, the products in this category do not contain enough THC to create the “high” that is usually associated with cannabis. Instead, they contain greater levels of CBD and other minor cannabinoids, which are responsible for many of the non-psychoactive effects of cannabis you may know.
